[Girlchan Contest!!]

Just sayin'...

Nice commercial for the contest. Already entered twice, but I've seen a lot of entries that were better than mine.

I'm actually commenting more towards all the people who are so against this contest happening or who hate Girlchan or whatever, who are saying that Girlchan is lame and that it isn't well-animated, and just because it's Egoraptor it's getting frontpaged. It's true that this is getting on the frontpage because it is Egoraptor, but there are lots of other reasons why.

The fact that Girlchan is everything stupid about anime (and dubs) compiled into one big series of animations is something that people on the internet can definitely understand and get behind. This is why Girlchan has probably gotten so popular, despite the fact that people despise it for whatever reason. So because this series is well-known on Newgrounds and beyond, it makes sense for the crew of Newgrounds to want to bring attention to a contest like this, one that could pool the creative minds of its community together into some sort of fun competition (and force them to use the new art portal; I hadn't used it until this contest).

There's also people who are saying that there isn't a lot of effort put into the lip sync and the character animations and whatnot. For the most part, no, there isn't much character animation; they usually just statically stare at each other and don't move much (although when they do move, it is quite well-done). However, did it ever occur to the people who are saying that that the fact that he's trying to do episode after episode of Girlchan might be because he wants to get it over with so he can move on to other projects, where he'll be able to actually show off more animation and new characters and things? As things are now, Ego's sort of stuck with Girlchan at the moment, and as that is sort of the case, he probably just wants to get through this next episode so he can get to work on the next stand-alone piece similar to Mr. Literal or whatever.

I'm not Egoraptor, and I could be totally wrong. Just some food for thought.

Feels like an improvement to me...

It's not as good as the first few Pencilmations were, but it's a lot better than some of the newer ones have been.

It was almost 'meh', until the whole referential bit. I thought you were going to go for some sort of thing where they knocked over the bowling pins by rolling around and fighting, but that... I lol'd harder at that than anything you've done so far. Great job.

Amazing.

Not the animation; it's pretty much up to par with everything else you do (which isn't an insult at all; you're one of my favorite people on here). What's really amazing is the growth. Before watching this, I watched the first James and the Chief, which I'd never seen before... You've grown a LOT as an animator and voice actor in just a few years... Way to go, Muff. :3

Really well-done. The only complaint I have is the 3/4 perspective of the characters; kind of made them look like they weren't looking at each other. Otherwise, pretty hilarious.
